YotL, huh?

So the past few days have not been kind to me.

It started Sunday morning. I woke up to ice and nastiness outside, as expected, but I had another surprise. A flat tire. Turns out it was slashed. Nice. Thank goodness my neighbor's boyfriend (and she also got her tire slashed) was there and offered to change the flat for me. I managed to only be 50 minutes late to work, after detouring around a marathon being run near work (crazy fuckers, running when it's 30 degrees outside). I brought dinner home from work for my neighbor and her boyfriend as thanks, for those of you keeping track.

On Monday, I was supposed to get off of work at 4p, but the girl who was going to come in at 4 never showed. So, being the nice person I am, I said I would stay until close. I got home after 9p, and my dog had crapped and peed on the floor. Nice. I then had to clean that up and stay up late finishing homework that was due today.

Speaking of homework that was due today, I had a photography assignment due at 6:30 tonight that I didn't finish until yesterday. I went to drop the film off to be processed... turns out I somehow managed to buy a type of slide film that is only developed in 3 places in the WORLD, and only one in North America. So I have to find out how long it will take if I mail it in to the place in Kansas. If it's too long according to my professor, then I'll have to re-shoot the entire damned assignment.

I was almost late to that photography class because I fell asleep in the Union. Somehow I woke up about 4 minutes before the class started, just enough time to power-walk over to the classroom so that I could explain to my T.A. why I didn't have an assignment to turn in.

Oh oh oh... and I don't get to have satellite TV installed tomorrow, either. I got that phone call yesterday. My apartment complex doesn't allow them to install the dish anywhere on the building, so the maintenance man told me I could rent a stand from the dish company or make one of my own. I made one with a bucket, a sack of concrete, and a metal pole, so I thought I was good to go. Turns out my complex won't allow the dish companies to ground the dish to an AC box or somesuch. So why the hell doesn't the complex just say NO SATELLITES instead of acting like they allow it, but with all these restrictions and caveats?? I just lost 50 effin dollars for the non-refundable deposit to save my place for installation. Bastards.

YotL... where are you??

it will happen, dear one. It takes quite a bit of time for even the rockest of rockstars to have their chance to shine...
